Shared Experiences

Coaching, supporting advocacy of self and loved ones

Lorrin’s presence, and guidance helped prepare me for next steps during my young husband’s transfer to hospice. She was present for both of us. It was a blessing to know what to expect during the dying process. I was empowered to make difficult decisions with some peace of mind. Grateful to my faith, support system and the compassionate experience Lorrin brought to our situation.

You don't know what you don't know when you begin the journey of caring for your parents... and nothing really prepares you for the grief that comes with that natural shift in roles.
Between medical challenges, navigating insurance, and trying to support the well-being of both of my parents, I found myself overwhelmed and underprepared for what was in front of me.
Lorrin, through Sunshine Sanctuary, stepped in during a time when overwhelm and hopelessness were very real. There was something about her presence... steady, grounded, and deeply compassionate... that helped stabilize me when I needed it the most.
From that place, I was actually able to hear, learn, and begin to take empowered steps... not just for my parents, but alongside my siblings. We navigated everything from health decisions to financial considerations and estate planning... conversations that can feel impossible when you're already emotionally stretched.
What stood out most was how she helped me approach it all with dignity and respect for my parents…while also supporting our family in coming together, rather than letting everything fall on one person. This journey is not easy… and it’s not something most of us are prepared for. But having someone like Lorrin in your corner… someone who can listen, guide, offer perspective, and help you see options you didn’t even know existed... makes all the difference.
I truly believe everyone needs an advocate during this phase of life… as we shift from being cared for to becoming the caretaker.
I’m forever grateful.

I hired Lorrin to help explain some of the lab results that I had copies of and forgot what some of them meant. I wanted to prepare for a doctor’s appointment and Lorrin helped me organize priorities I wanted to address. We wrote important questions I wanted to ask. Our time was very helpful.

I was referred to Lorrin by a friend while I was caring for my 80 year old mother in the final months of her life. She supported me through the two months leading up to my mom’s death and for the month afterward. Hiring Lorrin was, without question, the best decision I made during that incredibly difficult time.
“Valuable” doesn’t begin to capture the benefit of having a professional guide during the process of illness and death. Lorrin combines deep practical knowledge of the medical system, procedures, and symptoms with a profound understanding of the emotional realities of supporting a dying loved one. That combination was truly invaluable.

What made the biggest difference for me was how she prepared me for what was coming. She would explain what might happen next, medically and emotionally, so when those moments arrived, I wasn’t blindsided. Instead of panic, she helped me remain grounded. It was reassuring, knowing that what I was experiencing was normal. In a situation that often felt chaotic and overwhelming, that kind of steadiness was so appreciated.

She also gave me the confidence to ask better questions and advocate more effectively within the healthcare system. Beyond that, she supported me through very difficult emotional conversations with both my mom and my sister, who also needed my care and understanding during that time.

Lorrin was responsive, compassionate, and clear about how she could help. Whether through in-person visits or FaceTime calls, she was consistently present and attuned to what I needed, often anticipating concerns before I even knew to ask.

Her support didn’t just help me get through the experience, it changed how I experienced it. I felt less alone, more prepared, and more able to be present with my mom in her final days.

I would recommend Lorrin, without any hesitation, to anyone navigating the complexities of caring for an aging or dying loved one. Her guidance was truly monumental for me.

Lorrin Munn is a wonderfully gifted reader. Lorrin read at my mother’s 80th birthday party and everyone was very impressed with Lorrin’s talent as a gifted reader. Lorrin is very kind, warm hearted and has a very loving, generous spirit. It was an honour having such a special gifted person fit in easily with friends, and family at my mother’s event.

Mediumship

Lorrin channeled a dear friend who passed away in her early forties. It was an incredible comfort and very healing for me.

— H.M

Lorrin has an uncanny ability to get the complete picture/story without ever knowing or meeting the people coming through in the reading that are people who have been or still are very present in your life. It’s like she’s been with you your whole life.

Animal Communication

How my cat, Little Bear, taught me animal communication.

My tuxedo cat Little Bear, came to me, urgently needing a home. She was quite traumatized when I picked her up from a friend’s place, in a carrier. I did Therapeutic Touch over her, as I drove us home, the carrier facing me in the front seat. It took a few weeks for her to settle in. Once she was comfortable, we had a great time, playing hide and seek, fetch, and hanging out, listening to music, doing energy work, working with crystals.

One afternoon, I was prepping dinner, chopping vegetables,(I enjoy chopping, it’s meditative). In the kitchen, chopping away, very relaxed, I heard a little voice in my head. Not my voice, a different little voice say, “I like the running game”. I stopped chopping, processing what I just heard and looked around. Behind me, standing in the hallway was Little Bear, staring up at me with her big blue eyes wide open staring at me, was Little Bear! I looked at her and asked, “Was that you? Did you say that?”

Again, I heard, in my head, the little voice say, “I like the running game!” and she purr/chirped and ran to hide! I laughed, followed her, running to play hide and seek. The game was one on more ways than one.

Shortly after that day, some people who booked an intuitive reading where asking about their lost cat or dog. Or asking about their furry friend who recently died. Little Bear’s energy and voice would show up in the reading when the animal had died/crossed over. Her energy would help me connect with those little souls who have left the planet.

When animals are living, I am able to feel and hear them when I relax and ‘tune in’. Dogs, horses, ducks, crows, sparrows, hummingbirds, cats, bunnies, hamsters, rats, mice, ants, flies, bees all speak with me. I believe we all can speak with animals. We get to quietly listen, and trust.
